The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rule on Chemical Substances When Manufactured Or Processed As Nanoscale Materials; TSCA Reporting And Recordkeeping Requirements has entered into force on 14 August 2017. It is now supported by a working guidance which clarifies the requirements of the rule. This document is intended for registrants, it provides answers to key questions around the following topics:
- What chemicals are reportable?
- Who is required to report?
- What information is to be reported?
- When is reporting required?
- General questions
The guidance also indicates that the US EPA will also work on a case by case basis and invites registrants to contact Jim Alwood (firstname.lastname@example.org), at the Chemical Control Division of the Agency for any question that would not already featured in the guidance.
