The ILSI NanoRelease Food Additive Project, in which NIA participates, has recently published five scientific publications in the journal Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety. An earlier publication had been published in April 2014 in ACS nano. All six publications are freely available for download.
NIA's Director of Adocavy has been involved in the project and NIA is acknowledged for its substantial in-kind support in the publications.
The published cross-stakeholder papers review the current knowledge of the range of natural and added nanomaterials in foods that might fall into the definitions of nanomaterials and the methods available and needed to measure them.
